Bonhoeffer and Barth blog conferences
Well, this late spring and fall look as though they’ll merge for a perfect storm of theointerests and I only wish I had more time to pursue them! WTM is holding the 2nd Annual Karl Barth blog conference in June on Eberhard Jungel’s book, God’s Being is in Becoming: The Trinitarian Being of God in the Theology of Karl Barth. I found a cheap copy of the book on Alibris and I hope to try to follow along. Then, Halden is holding the first Bonhoeffer conference on Ethics in November. Quite honestly I’m slammed with work right now. I’m helping to develop a manuscript about our community’s vision for business as ministry, and then of course Cornerstone Festival is rolling around and there’s plenty to do to get ready for that. So, I’ll see what I can contribute by way of comments when the conferences start. Until then I’m opining with Christy Lane, “One day at a time sweet Jesus!” Can Chris balance work with theoreading without having his head explode? We shall see!
