Jimmy Driftwood, worthy of mention

I first heard the name Jimmy Driftwood when Doc Watson dropped the name in conversation on the album “Will the Circle Be Unbroken.” I had no idea he had written so many songs, been an environmentalist, and was awarded an honorary Doctorate degree. Jimmy Driftwood is reason enough for pride in the Ozarks. Here’s hoping there are many more like him there. I’d like to meet them.
