I’m following this story about the Virginia Tech massacre, much like anyone else, but it seems to me that the shooter, Cho Seung-Hui is profiled with such little complexity, as though the need for easy answers is more needed and can heal quicker and easier than allowing time to understand. Cho was a loner, loners are scary, we can’t really know them, they’re dangerous. . . . we should have known—as though the rest of us are so well adjusted, so rooted in common ways, so socially well adjusted.
