My first task of the day involves going through papers on my desk, throwing out the junk and then filing the important stuff. I imagine myself standing there, with that quizzical look on my face, rubbing the top of my head, unsure. “Will I use this? Where should I put it.” This is why there are piles of papers on my desk. Right where I can find them should I need them. Inside my computer the task is even more daunting. Files I haven’t looked at for years that I can’t bear to part with until I come across them, or until I need more space on the harddrive. Usually they’re out of sight/out of mind. Maybe that’s why I favor computer files to paper ones.
