Seven deadly sins by state survey

There’s just one problem with this study, “The Spatial Distribution of the Seven Deadly Sins Within Nevada”. I hate to be a killjoy here, but isn’t it interesting that a study based on the Seven Deadly Sins isn’t really based on the notion of sin against a holy God? Faith doesn’t really enter into it at all. For greed, for instance, they compare average incomes by the total number of people living under the poverty line. For envy they use the total number of thefts. This only vaguely hints at causality, and then at a misdeed. The end result is that we look at our home state and think, “That’s not so bad after all.”
